Delicious budget food at Genting Highlands

Hi everyone,

how are you? having a good short holiday?

At Genting Highlands, there are so many variety of food ranging from fast food, food courts, restaurants. We managed to taste a couple of restaurants, located at First World hotel, at fairly good price, they are

  • Lake View Seafood restaurant - Mouth watering sea food and cooked food similar to what we have at the East Coast sea food restaurants
  • Hainan Kitchen - Delicious cooked food in Hainan style

Other recommendations include

  • Lao Di Fang (Genting Hotel)
  • Penang Food Village (Theme Park Hotel) - You can get a tasty meal easily below RM10. It is not crowded and absence of smoke. Food to savour your mouth watering taste buds are lor mee, spicy prawn noodle soup, Penang laksa, Penang fried kway teow

Hi Trini,

Good day, how are you? Yes, it is generally more expensive to dine in Genting Highlands to cash in on tourism dollars. Even a simple meal at mcdonalds will cost 10-20% more compared if you dine at other Mcdonald branches. Are you planning to go to Genting Highlands?

Hi Jean,

I like to direct you to the following two web pages:

1) http://www.rwgenting.com.sg/en/
accommodation/index.htm gives you a description of the hotels.

2) http://www.rwgenting.com.sg/en/
accommodation/room_rates/index.htm gives you a quick price comparison of all the hotels there is.

First World Hotel is generally cheaper across the board. Cheaper does not necessarily equate to better quality. It all depends to how their facilities match up to your expectations.

Hope this will be great help to you.

Thanks
